SoulFouCoining their name from an allegorical band in a never-published screenplay authored by Ivan, Soulfound fuses together the bravado of progressive, the attitude of punk and the sensitivity of indie rock to create their unique sound. Formed in Gainesville, Florida, the band has transcended musical trends while striving to find their own flavor.
Soulfound are one part 90210, one part Maxim magazine. One part Wrestle mania, one part Academia. They are the guy’s parent’s love at first, but then forbid you from ever hanging out with again; the proverbial goody-goodies gone sour.

Drawing from influences like Iron Maiden, Pearl Jam, Rush, Jimmy Eat World, Metallica and Led Zeppelin, Soulfound has been a stalwart of the Pinellas County music scene since moving to Clearwater in May 2002. Since the move, Soulfound has been gaining popularity with fans, critics and bands alike — mostly due to their unparalleled, energetic live show.
Soulfound has shared the stage with Hawthorne Heights, Acceptance, Jet, Eve 6, Socialburn, Blindside, OK GO, Warrant, Psychedelic Furs, the New Left, Bowling for Soup, Yellowcard, Hopesick, Magna-Fi, Jimmie’s Chicken Shack, Big Sky and Truly Sunday and have been part of Vans Warped Tour, 97X’s Next Big Thing 2, 98Rock’s Livestock 13, Rag Magazine’s Ragfest, the University of Florida’s Music Law Conference, Daytona Speed week), Emergenza Festival and Axis Magazine’s Florida Music Festival, SunFest.

Soulfound recorded a 3-song EP, The Lives We Lived So Far, with producer James Paul Wisner (Underoath, Dashboard Confessional, Further Seems Forever, The Academy Is...) This fact has hardly gone unnoticed, playing on the radio now from Aust & NZ to UK and Japan and bigger Cities in the US their discs & down loads are becoming a hot commodity in Japan. The radio interviews, press, pod casts and television appearances, radio concerts and festival tours are stacking and the label offers and attention and flyins are now a reality. Alist producers have made their bids for producing the first album and powerhouse DC 101 reached out for a March benefit.

Soulfound has just completed a video in front of 3500 screaming fans, which is a testament to how their core is building very quickly. They are setting up for the Summer / Fall concert season and expect to play most of the major regions and fests and radio shows in the US and to reach out into the Caribbean and South America in 07.

There has been more than one branded tour, which has asked SoulFound to be on board this past year. Look for SoulFound in stores and on the web on the MTV / Laguna Beach season 2 DVD. American Idol/ Underground has gotten involved with SoulFound as well. As winners in their worldwide program; they have started to promote SoulFound in line with their unmistakable brand. The band has been working with a NYC and Silicon Valley PR firm and adding to their already busy media, performance, recording schedule with television and radio broadcasts, print, pod casts and web casts.

As of this week SoulFound has been attached to do music for G4’s episodes of an upcoming television series. They have also been attached to the feature “ Lemonade Wars” and to an animated series sitting at a major music network awaiting a full green light position.
SoulFound has had many label flyins and at least 2 offers. Imprint/ major. However, they are waiting for the perfect fit. A young band that does everything and anything in the DIY matrix to make it work. SoulFound is currently in the studio currently laying down new tracks at the behest of producers and are doing 2 albums back to back. Watch for a new release of a single with a twist. The single premiered at Sunfest and was very well received.
