In 1996, No Mercy released their debut album titled No Mercy (No Mercy album)|No Mercy , later re-released in Europe retitled My Promise and produced two United States|U.S. Billboard Hot 100 Top 40 hit record|hit s, including " Where Do You Go (No Mercy song)|Where Do You Go " (a cover version|cover of La Bouche 's "Where Do You Go" from 1994), which hit number 5. This was followed by the single "Please Don't Go", which reached number 21. In early 1997, No Mercy released a romantic ballad titled "When I Die", a cover of a song previously performed by Farian acts The Real Milli Vanilli and Try 'N' B . Their remake of the band Exile (American band)|Exile 's number one song from 1978, " Kiss You All Over ", also became a number one hit on the Hot Dance Club Play record chart|chart in 1998.
1998-1999: More
No Mercy's second album, More , which included singles such as "Hello How Are You", " More than a Feeling " (originally recorded by Boston (band)|Boston ) and " Tu amor|Tu Amor " (originally by Jon B. , and later covered also by RBD ), also achieved success.
2000-present: Singles and current status
In 2002, a single, " Don't Let Me Be Misunderstood ", was released to gauge support for No Mercy's third album. The record producer decided to instead rework the songs for solo (music)|solo musician|artist Daniel Lopes ' debut album, Shine On , in 2003.
