Absolution found it's beginnings in the early spring of 2004 when equally frustrated musicians BoGe and Godin had recently left their past projects. They started talking about finding the right vibe and dedication to see things through. They would soon find someone who shared the same frustrations and creative vibe that was needed in Joe. Who was heavily influenced by shredders Dimebag Darrell and Zakk Wylde. Which helped to create a unique aggressive musical style that needed to be matched by moving melodies and powerful vocals. After finding a front man and writing for about a year things started failing and they parted ways with frontman Guam. The next 3 months would be spent evolving and forming their style and learning each other's musical tastes. In comes Chad. After one audition the vibe was there and the music took a new form and finally came to life.Absolution can be described as groovy, progressive, and diverse. Preferring not to be labeled as sounding like such and such, Absolution can simply be described as a refreshing new metal band dedicated to bringing musicianship and diversity to metal!
Artist Mission
Absolution has completely allowed the music to form it's direction. We have songs that can be VERY heavy, and some that could easily fit on just about any radio format. We write what we feel and allow the emotions of the music to decide how each song will turn out.
