Album Summary
Join the talented and radiant Órla Fallon on a heartfelt musical pilgrimage through her beloved Ireland. Órla Fallon's My Land celebrates the people and the landscapes of the Emerald Isle, and revels in the beautiful music they inspire. My Land is the show that Órla always wanted to make. Shot live and in concert at the historic 17th-century Royal Hospital Kilmainham in Dublin, My Land includes Órla's stirring solo renditions of Irish and American classics, and also features performances by the legendary Dubliners, the Dublin Gospel Choir, and a special appearance by the influential Irish singer/songwriter Damien Dempsey. Órla's television audience gets to journey with her outside the walls of the concert hall, on a pilgrimage across Ireland, from the craggy cliffs of Moher in the west to the green coasts of the north, to the pubs, villages, rivers, meadows, and historic sites that make Órla's native land so enchanting. My Land features classic Irish songs near and dear to Órla, including: "The Isle of Innisfree," Spanish Lady," "Mo Ghile Mear" and "Ni Na La" as well as the American classics "Morning Has Broken" and "Both Sides Now." Órla Fallon's My Land is a perfect way for Irish-Americans and Americans of all backgrounds to celebrate March, St. Patrick's Day, and the return of Spring. A gifted singer and master of the Irish harp, Órla Fallon has been well known to public television audiences since her days with the group Celtic Woman, which has sold over 5 million records worldwide. She grew up in the picturesque Irish village of Knockenanna, where her grandmother instilled in her an early love of traditional Irish music. Her career has taken her around the globe, to perform for Presidents and Popes. Órla has been seen on public television over 14,000 times and, in 2010, she recorded the hit public television show Órla Fallon's Celtic Christmas.

Album Summary
The deep, joyful and soul-moving tradition of Celtic music meets the top-rank pop musicianship of our time in the inspiring and intimate Distant Shore, the brand new solo album by ORLA FALLON, formerly of Celtic Woman.
For years, Fallon has held audiences spellbound the world over with her pure and emotional singing and virtuoso playing on the Irish harp as one of Celtic Woman's stunning talents and beloved soloists. Now Fallon delivers 13 wonderful, newly recorded songs that takes the listener on an amazing musical journey. From the hit single, "Dancing In The Moonlight" to the gorgeous track "Always There" Distant Shore delivers on every level.
The album was produced by Eoghan O'Neill (pronounced: Owen) and Dan Shea. O'Neill is a founding member of the seminal Irish folk-rock band Moving Hearts, and was Musical Director of Riverdance-The Show. For the past five years O'Neill has shared the world stage with Orla as Celtic Woman's Musical Director and bassist. Shea, a multi-platinum American producer, whose long resume of hit pop productions includes tracks by Mariah Carey, Carlos Santana, Jennifer Lopez, Celine Dion and Martina McBride, produced and/or co-produced six tracks on Distant Shore.
Shea and John Bettis wrote the title track "Distant Shore." Bettis, an American lyricist, has co-written songs for several music legends including Madonna, Diana Ross, Whitney Houston and the late Michael Jackson.
Additionally, two tracks on the album ("My Land" and "Always There") were co-written by Rolf Løvland and Brendan Graham, composers of the modern standard, "You Raise Me Up," best known in North America in the No.1 Josh Groban version, while several tracks were written by Orla herself.
The album was recorded at the famed Windmill Lane Studios in Dublin and at Nashville's Dark Horse Studios - both recording facilities have hosted such platinum stars as U2, The Chieftains, Faith Hill, Van Morrison, Neil Diamond, Taylor Swift, Big & Rich and Martina McBride.
Fallon continues her wonderful relationship with PBS as she appears on stations nationwide as a special guest star on Jim Brickman's Beautiful World and by herself in very intimate settings and performances.
The smash success of Celtic Woman generated a lot of demand for more music from the talented performers, and The Water Is Wide is a rerelease of the first album of Órla Fallon, the harp-playing brunette. As the title suggests, the album is filled with traditional songs, including "The Water Is Wide," "She Moved Thro' the Fair," and "Down by the Sally Gardens," as well as traditional Irish songs such as "Aliliu Na Gamhna," "Carrickfergus," and "The Gartan Mother's Lullaby." Celtic Woman fans will enjoy hearing "Siuil a Run" again, and it also provides a different vibe to the rest of the album's steady flow of delicate loveliness. Most of the songs are Órla accompanying herself, but at only 37 minutes, The Water Is Wide doesn't overstay its welcome. --David Horiuchi
