Frank Paquette and Larry Preston have been involved in creative projects since their early teens. Together, they've played in a number of local Massachusetts bands, collaborated in the writing and illustrating of children's books and have even had a cartoon published in a national magazine. As solo projects, Frank continues to write songs in a wide variety of styles from rock to jazz to even a little country. He has a series of children's books called "The Secret Stories" scheduled for publication later this year. Also, he and his daughter, Jen, have invented a beach game/activity which they plan on marketing by early 2007. Larry, on the other hand, is an enormously successful artist. You may view, purchase and/or watch his paintings come to life from early stages to finished works of art at larrypreston.com ...Trust me, you will NOT be disappointed. brbrbrbr
His paintings are incredible. He was also lead guitarist in "Zonkaraz","The Shades" and "The Preston-Porter Band".They have rejoined forces with a greater zeal and commitment to produce the music they just can't leave behind. Rock-on boys - Rock-on! The new disc "Discover Me" is in stores NOW. The CD contains 16 tracks of Alternative, Rock & Pop and features Larry (guitars and vocals), Frank ( guitars, keyboards and vocals), Denise Morin (guest vocalist), Annie Paquette & Bev LaPerle (guest vocalists), Jay Lange (bass) and Bob Bates (drums). The cd begins with a symphonic intro called "Road To Darkhouse" which Frank wrote from a dream he had. He says that in this dream it was summer and he was driving his car through woods up a dusty dirt road to an abandoned lonely house. The song has some spooky soundtrack elements to it. "Discover Me" also features "You're So Sexy" which won an award in The American Song Festival competition for excellence in creative writing, originality, technical skill and talent in composition.
