Artist Biography

A truely unique guitarist from Louisiana. Pat Harlow grew up surrounded by music. Her mother was a concert pianist and pushed her to join both the school and church choirs at an early age. She continued singing in choirs through college, where she majored in Music Composition. However, as much as she studied, she felt that the schooling was leaving out the most important part of the music, the vibe. Since early high school, Pat knew her instrument of choice was the guitar and went on to play with several bands doing such. An accomplished rhythmist, Pat often would lose his peers on what they called,' complex rhythm and chord changes.' This led her to later study Jazz guitar as well. Lyrics were always her shortcoming until she was deployed with the U.S. Army to Baghdad. There, without a guitar, she decided it was time to work on her weak point and finally broke through that last blockade that had limited her in the past.
