Harlow releases 'Undercon' |

Patrick Harlow has finished his sophmore release here on Artistopia and once again does not fail to deliver. Written as a personal musical workshop, 'Undercon' is a collection of 'a-song-a-day-for-a-week' completely unpolished, unrefined tunes. Yet in many ways this album surpasses in power and form that of Harlow's debut release 'Album One.'
'Sandbox' has a good collection of chord structure commonly found in jazz pieces that Harlow forms into his style of rock seemingly effortlessly. 'Trash' takes us on a blissful journey tumbling in the wind and ending with the foreful chant 'toss me out a throw me down,' sung as delicately as a luluby. And of course Harlow's High-Energy guitar work can be found throughout, especially on 'Carribean Beans,' and lyrics such as those found in 'Braindead,' leave us wondering just what in the hell is Harlow thinking sometimes.
Well worth the time both spent in the studio and to listen to. It's hard to believe that each song has no more than a few hours of work on it.
