Mr. St. Claire began his music career in 1984 playing several small gatherings in the San Francisco area. Over the next several years, he collaborated with many musicians as a rhythm guitarist and arranger. During the late 1980's, he studied classical guitar with O. Nicolas Raths in Minneapolis. During this period he played several studio sessions with Marco Undersong and the late Joseph Behrend.
The years 1998 to 2004 found Mr. St. Claire developing a new technique and writing music for solo guitar. The style was once described as "neo-classical, with an interesting aftertaste".
He is currently a composer and instructor of solo guitar.
