Artist Biography |

|
Born with a melody in his head and a rhythm in his heart, Paul Alexander hails from Boston. Coming from a musical family, Alexander began experimenting with songwriting at the age of six, with his first song titled: "Cool School," which he loved to sing to his childhood friends. A performer by nature, he has played many major cities, including New York, Los Angeles, and Miami. His first break came when he won "Best Pop/R&B Song" in a Music Video contest sponsored by a New York City Music News Program. The announcement of his winning was advertised in the Village Voice, and his video was aired throughout all of New York City in the following months.
Alexander continued to perform at various showcases, including Puff Daddy's Restaurant, "Justin's." It was after Alexander's Music Video winning that more people began to take notice of him, including a music company sponsored by Armani Exchange which published one of his pulsating electronic tracks around the break of the millennium. After an audition with a Los Angeles Talent Scout, Alexander was accepted as a participant to compete against talent from every major city in the country at a major Los Angeles Convention. He performed an up-tempo Pop Song for an audience composed mostly of prominent industry judges, and took home 1st place prize for competition excellence, as well as an additional award for singing at the event. After his winnings, Alexander began craving the west coast as a permanent place to call home. He returned to New York, packed up, and headed back to Los Angeles. Within two weeks of his move, he received a phone call from a production company in Nashville. The company had his original demo at their office, and was blown away by the sound. Before Alexander knew it, he was packing his bags again and heading to Nashville to record a new record. Alexander continues his musical crusade in the west coast market, performing songs with the goal of uplifting people's spirits through the use of his craft. His latest projects include the launching of his company, Ear Magic Productions, as well as songwriting for film, as he enjoys the often magical results of combining music with the moving image. He has been noticed in Music Connection Magazine, and spotted playing at the Beverly Hills Film Festival as well as the Rainbow Bar in Hollywood. Alexander is clearly poised for a very promising career with the best yet to come.
Artist Mission
I started writing songs at the age of six, and it was something that seemed to be an intrinsic program within me that was designed to expand in some (unexpected) way. Music talent seems to run in my family, as does music performance. My only goal is to maintain my craft as a Singer, Songwriter, and Performer, uplifting peoples' spirits, offering a polished live show, and composing/providing songs for Film, Television, and Publishing in most music genres.
