Open Letter To The Organizers of The Maritime Tattoo Festival |

To Whom it May Concern:
I just wanted to let the organizers of the MaritimeTattoo Festival know of my disappointment & embarrassment at having my show cancelled after only 2 songs on the last day of the Festival, Monday May 21st at 2:00 PM. This was one of the most insensitive, inconsiderate and unprofessional things I`ve ever experienced as a professional musician.
I was told by Amber (co-organizer) that she was expecting more songs like the ones on my Myspace site. The second song I played ``Under the Peel`` IS on my Myspace Site. It seems as though Amber made up her mind after the 1st song I played which happened to be a Bob Dylan song. She said she wasn`t expecting a Bob Dylan thing. Whatever that means...I wasn`t expecting a `no Bob Dylan rule`...Wierd is all I can say about that. A guy does a solo acoustic guitar & harmonica show and gets kicked off the stage for playing Dylan.
I was complimented by about 5 different people following my rudely interupted performance before I got ripped off $80.00 by Amber..... adding insult to injury. She paid me $20.00 as opposed to the agreed upon $100.00 because I only played 2 songs!!! I was asked to leave the stage in front of the entire crowd after my 2nd song. Kinda hard to finish my job then eh!
1. I should not have been kicked off the stage 2. I should not have been ripped off
Sincerely Disappointed, Paul Goudie

Hi Paul, I've discussed things with my partner, and here's what we can offer you. $100 for one hour and a weekend pass to the festival (which equals $125 total). We are running quite over budget this late into the preparations, so $200 is out of reach for us right now. If you are still interested, let me know and we can make further arrangements. looking forward to hearing back from you! Angela
