Placenta was conceived at an anti-war protest in 2003 when Glamaflauge and K-Jetset decided to start a band. Many moons and members have phased in and out of the band. Placenta has performed as a sextet and as an intimate threesome. The “Chocolate and Heroin” line-up features Glamaflauge on in-your-face-bass and vocals, Xodik on inter-galactic guitar, Logistix attacking the skins. Logistix has since been substituted with Hashbrowns.

We are the San Francisco Bay Area’s hardest rockin’ psychedelic-glam-core band and possibly the greatest psychedelic-glam-core band in the history of western civilization. We are the voice of post-modern motherhood, the storm troopers of anarcho-feminism, and the heroes of intergalactic hyper-dimensional guitar playing. This ain’t no MTV angst filled smarm-o-ramma, we are here to overload you brain and nourish your soul with electric love.
