Album Summary
I’m not tryin’ to impress anyone on how hard my struggle was, or how messed up the conditions were where I came from,' says Plies. I feel like most of the people in my situation come from the same type of background, the same type of environment.Hailed as one of the realest n****s you will ever know, the Ft. Myers based rapper has already established a phenomenal underground and street presence on the strength of his infamous mixtapes and live show. Plies is a realest who happened to learn how to tell his story in rhyme. This is why the streets love him. And he reveals his revelations of earning stripes with the summer ’07 release of his Big Gates/Slip-N-Slide/Atlantic debut, The Real Testament. Born in Ft. Myers, Florida, Plies grew up in the East Dunbar section of the city. It’s a small town, but it’s a town that reflects so much to me. You’ve got two separate sides you’ve got the serious side, then you’ve got the gutter side. I called it Pakistan because young gits were running around with choppers and s**t. Despite coming of age in the Michigan Court Projects, Plies says he wouldn’t change it for the world. 'The only thing adversity does is reintroduce you to yourself. I got the most anticipated situation in the streets right now', says Plies. The streets told me that.
2010 release, the fourth album from the Hip Hop star. Plies has described Goon Affiliated as his best album to date and is his first album to feature collaborations. When it comes to Hip Hop artists, Plies is the realest! After the success of his 2007 RIAA gold debut, The Real Testament, the Ft. Myers, Florida native returned a mere 10 months later with his sophomore release, The Definition Of Real. Thanks to the success of his Ne-Yo-assisted #1 single, "Bust It Baby Part 2," Plies once again struck RIAA gold, selling over 500,000 copies of The Definition Of Real. Then, within just six short months of The Definition Of Real, Plies returned with his third disc, Da REAList, which along with his previous albums did rather well on the Soundscan Charts. Plies described this amazing fete by saying "I've been blessed to be able to come back with three albums in 16 months...I feel like it's something that hadn't been done in the new era."
Success hasn t changed Plies; it has just made him more real. After selling over a half million copies of his 2007 debut album, THE REAL TESTAMENT, the rapper hailing from the streets of Fort Myers, Florida returns with the release of his sophomore set, DEFINITION OF REAL. I feel like what I try to stand for in this game and what I reflect and represent is the extinct individuality in terms of being real, explains Plies. It was only right for me to embody my sophomore album with the whole definition of what I like to call real. It s a term that I looked up and I dissected and I feel like it fits me as a person; better than any term I ever ran across. Led by a pair of powerful singles, Plies has created an unstoppable movement with Bust It Baby, Part 1 and Bust It Baby, Part 2. The two-part ode to the women who have supported the rapper s career goes beyond mere radio records. Instead, Plies has an unprecedented marketing campaign that is sure to keep him at the forefront of hip-hop. The first installment of the series is a southern-cooked dedication to the rapper s faithful female fan base, while the second part is a largerthan- life tribute featuring production from JR Rotem and an infectious hook by R&B superstar Ne-Yo. If 2007 s Shawty was a pop-hit with a ghetto twist, then Bust It Baby, Part 2 is that to the tenth power. Still, don t expect too many features on the album, as Plies pledges to give his fans exactly what they pay for. There ain t no other rappers on my album, that s important for me. I don t believe in having seven or eight features on an album - to me that s a compilation album. So, much like Plies debut album, DEFINITION OF REAL only boasts R&B features. I think I m alright when it comes to talking about certain issues, so I don t really need the support of n****s to help me fulfill that vision. I never try to be defined by how many records I sell. I think it s more important for my mark to be made on what I stand for, says Plies.

Album Summary
2010 street mix. Plies has had everybody "hypnotized" for the past four years on musical tales pertaining to gang life and love. Armed with a successful songwriting formula that has proven to work over and over again, the Florida MC is giving the people what they crave on The Lost Sessions. Throughout this original 16-track collection, Plies polishes off this diamond in the rough to give Hip Hop heads another slab of his emotionally-invested music including "Chopper Zone," "Still In 'Em" and "God I'm Tired Of Lying To You." This album is all never before released material and is Plies' most personal body of work.
