Album Summary
2009 digipak release, the fifth full-length release from this Winnipeg Punk quartet. Part of the album was recorded in Colorado at the Blasting Room studio owned and operated by Descendents/Black Flag drummer Bill Stevenson. The energy on Supporting Caste is pure Punk, but the band isn't afraid to occasionally get complicated, showing off an interesting Progressive Rock influence, which mostly comes through in the artful lyrics. 12 tracks.
The long awaited new full-length album from Canadian punk rock heavyweights Propagandhi, the band's first new album in four years. Ten bar-raising tracks of smart, social, political, and humorous punk magic. Fat Wreck Chords. 2005.
Punk heavyweights return with a frenetic album that is an unabashed musical lash out. Lyrically the band does not disappoint, covering topics ranging from the hypocrisy of the "humane slaughter" of animals to the subliminal Nazi subtext of sports broadcasts. This is punk the way it was meant to be - four skids playing fast and sincere, firing off an intelligent and critical analysis of the flailing world around them. A collection of boundless power and depth that's a 50,000 watt forward thinking tip of the hat to the giants who went before them: Voivod, Rush, SNFU, Sacrifice, Razor, Guilt Parade. Combined sales of previous releases over 450K.
