904 Star Productions releases Florida Mixtape |

904 Star Productions is a company based out of Jacksonville, Florida. Founded by Kris Byrd, the company specializes in music production and album release (mixtape, compilation) on a regular basis. 904 Star Productions began composing music in 1999 and pride themselves on originality and quality. The company's feature artist is QB Smoove and he is paving the way for 904 Star Productions to leave its mark as the "top record label and production company" says Byrd, with the hit single "904 Star" off of the new release, compilation "Recognize & Respect It: Volume 1" (2007). The aformentioned CD is a collection of a variety of underground Hip-hop artists and producers from cities all over the state of Florida, including: Jacksonville, Orlando, and Miami. 904 Star Productions looks to introduce itself to the music world as an outlet for local artists to showcase their talent, as well as network with the company and others searching for new talent. The current release features rap artists QB Smoove, Mike Caddi, Mike B, Slic Mouf, Untamed Gittz, and Young DVS. The producer roster of "Recognize & Respect It: Volume 1" features Greentree Productions, Kemist, DJ Myndtrac and HG, and ATP.
904 Star Productions has now secured internet distribution and they say they plan to flood the market with "good music", by releasing a new CD every other month. The newest release will have a review featured in the Hood Magazine publication in one of the upcoming issues, to which the company is looking forward. "We're confident music fans will enjoy the cd," says Byrd.
