QFX are a dance music musical ensemble|group , partly from Hawick , Scotland formed in 1992. Their Music genre|music style was a mix of Dance Music and Techno .

Career


QFX band members included Kirk Turnbull ( Record producer|producer , keyboard instrument|keyboards ), Scott Craik 1992-94 ( Record producer|producer , keyboard instrument|keyboards ), Neil Trotter MC, Steven Lawes MC, Debbie Hudspeth ( singing|vocals ), Lorna (vocals), Stevie Scott ( dancer from 2000–2002), David Walker (dancer/remixer & DJ), Barry Brown (dancer), David Goonery (dancer) and Brian Nelly (dancer), Natalie Estelle James ( singing|vocals ), and Andrew Love (MC). http://www.facebook.com/pages/QFX/145674882144187 Facebook.com Kirk Turnbull Official Band Website


QFX in 2012 are still doing a Live PA, with original members Kirk Turnbull, Debbie Hudspeth, David Goonery, Brian Nelly with their new MC Andrew Love. In December 1994, they released their first album , entitled Freedom . It reached number 5 in the UK Indie Chart . Freedom stayed on that Top 20 list for fourteen weeks. In January 1996, QFX cover version|covered the Moby track, " Everytime You Touch Me ", which propelled QFX into the UK Singles Chart at number 22.cite book

This led to an appearance on BBC Television 's Top of the Pops . In July 1996, the band released "You Got The Power", which reached #33 in the same United Kingdom|UK record chart|chart . QFX also remix ed songs for other musician s, including Gala (singer)|Gala with " Freed From Desire ".

QFX released five albums and had five UK Top 40 hit singles. They were featured on over 20 compilation album s world wide.Citation needed|date=April 2009
