QuickTurn is a short stop between consecutive aircraft sorties. There is a flurry of activity that occurs by a large group of people to get the aircraft back in the air on time. This "orchestrated" event seemed to be a natural target for the name of the band considering its members.
QuickTurn is Tim Hebel on bass and lead vox, Scott Erickson on guitar and vox, Rob Shepherd on drums and Lynn Hebel on keys and vox. The band has been playing together since 2002. Three of the members are pilots, the other, a housewife. While they started out strictly as a cover band, they now write all of their own music and perform mostly originals. Their music tends to lean toward the lighter side of life, often based on true and unusual stories. QuickTurn has a friendly non-imposing sound somewhere between A-Ha and They Might Be Giants.
