Raissa was born and grew up in middle-class south London. She is closely associated with the musical ensemble|group , Suede (band)|Suede , having twice supported the band on UK concert tour|tours and contributing human voice|vocals to Suede's cover version|cover of Noël Coward 's "Poor Little Rich Girl" on the Twentieth-Century Blues: The Songs of Noel Coward|Twentieth-Century Blues tribute album .

Raissa has also worked with several other musician s including Dobie and dance music|dance duet (music)|duo LHB , for whom she performed guest vocals during their support slot on Kylie Minogue 's 2002 arena tour.
