Rare Blend have an obvious passion for music and it's evident with this album (Evolution Theory). I definitely give this album two thumbs up! It's a nice change of pace from the usual watered down pop or gangsta rap that clogs up the radio airwaves today.

Rare Blend's latest album, Evolution Theory, is a solid, impressive effort that highlights its diversity and musical precision. Rare Blend has dynamics and power more in keeping with ‘70s progressive rock than the average jazz-based jamband, but this album shows that they settle comfortably and imaginatively into a variety of musical spheres.

What a blessing to have so much talent in one band and have the ability to be so flexible. If you enjoy prog-rock and jazz or any combination thereof this CD is your ticket to paradise..

It's really astonishing what brilliant bands you can discover if you dig deeper and don't rely on the crap being published by most of big major companies. "Evolution Theory" should appeal to everyone who likes a good rocking mixture of Jazz Rock / Fusion with a light Latin and Funk touch.

A more apropos name would be hard to find for this Cleveland-based (mostly) instrumental quartet that blends rock, jazz, fusion and world music into a rare concoction of tight, colorful and unpretentious arrangements. If only all instrumental albums could sound this appealing...
