Rebelde Way is set in the Elite Way School, a prestigious private school|private boarding school|boarding high school near Buenos Aires . The students of the school are the members of Argentine wealthiest families, as well as gifted students with scholarship s. The series follows the lives of Elite Way students, their parents and their professors, and it also features the regular use of English language and phrases by the upper class . Cast and characters
main|List of Rebelde Way characters Manuel Aguirre is of the shows protagonist and antagonist, who comes to Argentina from Mexico to get revenge on the man who drove his father to kill himself and lose his money. To get that revenge he wants to take it out on the man's daughter Mia Colucci, who he sees and immediately falls in love before he knows her name. Manuel has to try to decide what he will do, exact revenge or stay with her. He acts like he hates her to make her hate him as much as possible but trouble rises when he cannot hate her more than he loves her.
Mia Colucci (one of the protagonist) is a spoiled girl who get everything from her "daddy". Upon seeing Manuel she changes her life forever and falls in love, but when she meets him he acts rude and mean so she tries to do the same, pretending to hate him as he does.
Plot summary
The series' main plot line revolves around a group of students forming a band. The actors who play the members of this band are also a real-life band, called Erreway . Erreway perform most of the music used on the show, and have been extremely successful in their own right, becoming one of the highest-grossing acts in Argentina and touring internationally.

Originally, it consisted of Bordonaba, Colombo, Rojas and Luisana Lopilato, who left the group in 2005. Releasing three studio albums — Señales, Tiempo and Memoria — Erreway sold more than 6 million records worldwide and achieved several Platinum and Gold album certifications in Argentina.

International remakes
The basic plot and situation of Rebelde Way was also remade for various countries around the world. In each version the plot was the same and centered around a student musical group performing within the telenovela . In 2003, the Spanish public broadcaster Televisión Española|TVE bought the rights to adapt the show. It did not go into production because of disagreements between the executives and THE Cris Morena Group . Also in 2003, Destiny, an independent company in Brazil, bought the rights and produced a pilot but it wasn't picked up by any network.
One of the first remakes to be made was India n Remix (TV series)|Remix . Produced by Rose Audio Visuals, it aired on Star One channel. As it was a hit among teenagers, it has returned on the same channel. In 2008, a Portuguese version of the same name was made by the channel Sociedade Independente de Comunicação|SIC . Its first season started airing in September, but the second season was cancelled due to poor ratings. Corazón Rebelde is the Chile an remake of the show that aired from August 2009 on Canal 13 (Chile)|Canal 13 with the name of S.O.S. and Corazón Rebelde as the slogan. Two weeks after from the released of the show the name was changed to its previous slogan. It has had a good reception since it was released.
Rebelde was the Mexico|Mexican remake of the show, initially aired in Mexico on Televisa . Although the school retained the same name, the band around whom the show's storyline revolved was renamed RBD . Rebelde was also internationally successful, and has been shown in Philippines , Mexico , the United States , Brazil , Poland and other Latin America n countries. It was one of the most successful and most popular novela's in Televisa history. It lasted three seasons (440 episodes) and aired from 2004-2006. The band RBD was also extremely successful, releasing more than five albums, and touring Mexico , United States , Brazil , Chile , Europe , and Asia . G4
G4 is the Greek remake of the series. Its broadcast began on September 2008, by Alpha TV , and ended on 17 June 2009. It refers to the problems and the concerns of modern-day youth, though it's not exactly the same as Rebelde Way. The protagonists of G4 also made a music group, called "?a pa?d?? t?? G4" ("The children of the class of C4"), and released only one single, "Wasn't me or wasn't you". The group is not active anymore.
The United States version
On 6 February 2009, it was confirmed that the United States|American version of the series would be made, produced by Jennifer Lopez .
