Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra to perform Robert Potterton III's "Seven Pearls" suite |

| Robert Summers Potterton III, known mostly for his work in the classical, new age, and sacred music genres, will have the opportunity to have one of his works performed by a professional orchestra for the first time. The Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra will be presenting a Young Composer's Forum on February 23, 2005, at Kleinhans Music Hall in Buffalo. One of the pieces that will be featured in the performance is Robert's original suite, "Seven Pearls". The recently orchestrated work, which is about eight minutes in length, is based on the score that he wrote for a play of the same name in the spring of 2003, which was performed at Capt. Nathan Hale Middle School in Coventry, CT. He hopes to make further adjustments to the piece and have a full version of it published in the near future, along with several other orchestral works of his. The performance in Buffalo is open to the public. |
