Our story:
In a time before time, when the Moon was a mystery and the Planets were a rumor, there was the Sun, The Godfather of energy, The Godmother of existence, the real back story to the meaning of life, burning wildly, ruthlessly and endlessly.
For millennia it has radiated through space, giving life and taking coldness, never relenting and never acquiescing. Today, the mighty Sun is still all-knowing, life-giving and eternal, yet it continues to furiously mock our attempts to colonise it.
Sometimes, in order to attempt the impossible, you must strike out on an unachievable mission. Space Race began that mission in May 2005.
Gentle Listener, come with us on a journey to dimensions only previously realised in nightmarish dreams of the past based on unattainable future realities.
Our Goal? We will set sail for the Sun. We will live free, happy and strong, without fear of violence, greed, exploitation or nasty sunburn, and we will simultaneously push the Space Race sound out into the Universe for the enjoyment of all species for all eternity.
Why you ask? Why would Space Race attempt such a dangerous mission? You see, Space Race have faith. We hold a solid belief that we are doing the right thing. We are talking the sort of faith that embiggens the simplest soul to dream of impossible doings, to fly through endless vacuums of space, to colonise distant Suns, all the while streaming dumb rock and smart pop to the people of Earth with a single diamond set goal of generating a radiating force of sonic joy.
This is our Mission and we hope to see you on the sun soon. We hear its nice in the summer.
