Artist Biography

Stacy has a powerful 5 octave range, and has a great ear for harmonies and arrangements. She is available for studio sessions and captivating live performances. Her diverse range covers several musical genres such as Delta & Chicago Blues, Jazz, (to include standards) Soca, Reggae, & Ole School R & B.

Throughout the years she has sung Washington DC radio jingles, R & B tracks for LaFace records, and has done some voice-overs. Stacy has performed in several countries as well as frequently in the Washington DC area. Sometimes stunning her audience by singing in German and French. Her powerful vocals can be heard on several CD's presently in stores in different genres. She contributed lead, background vocals and vocal arrangements on the Free Rein's Band, Cold Wind CD which was nominated for a WAMMIE for the Best Blues Recording in 2005. She sang lead, background vocals and contributed vocal arrangements on the highly anticipated Ras Iton’s Reggae CD. Projected to be released in the summer of 2008, the single Dirty Rumors is currently blazing the music charts in Jamaica.

Her most recent solo project The Stacy Brooks Band has her performing up and down route 95. Just recently they placed 2nd in the DC Blues Battle of the Bands 2007 and Stacy was nominated for a WAMMIE for New Artist of the Year by the Washington Area Music Association.
