|
Born and raised in the Deep South, and the son of a preacher, music has always been in my life. I studied composition, guitar performnace, and music production at colleges in Louisiana, Texas, and Tennessee. Since then I've played guitar professionally for nearly 20 years - in Nashville and for the Air Force. I am currently guitarist in the USAF Academy Band in Colorado Springs, where my family and I have put down roots. brbrOn this site I have included music of many different styles, but the term Jazz probably applies most.brbrMy most recent release, Reaching Through the Veil, is a modern interpretation of more than a dozen old hymns. Though this is not something new, I believe the musical style is original. Think along the lines of Pat Metheny, Mike Oldfield, Phil Keaggy. It could be classified sometimes as Lite Jazz, sometimes New Age, sometimes Instrumental Pop, and even ambient or chill-out. Whatever you like to call it, I hope you enjoy listening to it, and will tell your friends, too.
Artist Mission
To bring the classic elements of melody, harmony, composition and taste into music that is flavored with modern and often electronic soundscapes and highlighted by virtuosic guitar craftsmanship.brbrMy style can be described in this way: brElectro-acoustic guitar-oriented modern instrumental music with characteristics of pop, jazz, classical, ambient and electronic styles - without the repetitive monotony sometimes heard in the latter two.
Music Influences
Pat Metheny, Phil Keaggy, Mike Oldfield, Deep Forest, Claude Debussy
