Artist Biography

Singer/songwriter, Steven Knight, was born in Richmond, Virginia. At the age of 5, Knight developed his love for music. Throughout his grade school educational period, Knight participated in various choirs and chorus groups. Although most of his high school career he participated in sports, Steven continued to sing and develop his craft.

During his senior year of high school, he joined the Lloyd C. Bird High School's show choir, where he developed stage presence and poise. Later that year, he began to experiment with writing lyrics. The following year, while attending Virginia State University, Knight had the opportunity to record his first song ever which was written by a co-worker and friend. The experience was overwhelming. As the year went on, Knight recorded and performed in several talent shows for his school and a local radio show. Throughout his college career, Steven Knight continued singing, writing and eventually, performed with a local band in Richmond, VA under the direction of Gerard Johnson of AGL Odyssey who is multi-instrumentalist and musical director in Richmond, VA. In April of 2007, after relocating to Atlanta, GA 3 months prior to pursue a music career, Knight signed with an Atlanta based Independent label named God Dynasty Entertainment (goddynasty.com). As an R&B artist on God Dynasty Entertainment, he is currently working on a mixtape that will drop at the end of this year and an album that will come out in Spring of 2008.
