Elysium is the brand new studio album from Finnish power metallers Stratovarius. After a hugely
successful world tour in support of Polaris, Stratovarius returned to the studio to create their 13th album,
which brings their signature sound to a brand new level.

Japanese only SHM paper sleeve pressing. Includes two bonus tracks. The SHM-CD [Super High Material CD] format features enhanced audio quality through the use of a special polycarbonate plastic. Using a process developed by JVC & Universal Music Japan discovered through the joint companies' research into LCD display manufacturing SHM-CDs feature improved transparency on the data side of the disc allowing for more accurate reading of CD data by the CD player laser head. SHM-CD format CDs are fully compatible with standard CD players.

In September 2008 Stratovarius found the freedom to go into seclusion for almost a month in a cottage by the sea in a Finnish forest to relax, laugh, write songs, be creative together, and record. And they found themselves being a band reborn. The result is a melodic, powerful, fresh, tight, and technically elaborate new album. Powerful melodies mingle with sophisticated arrangements; strong anthems stand alongside heavy songs. There are 11 songs full of energy, musicianship, and a positive outlook.

2010 two CD set. After the release of their 12th studio album Polaris, Stratovarius hit the road to support the newest chapter in the 25-year history of the Finnish metallers' storied career. The result is Polaris Live, a 14-track souvenir from their 2009 world tour, including live versions of five songs from Polaris and other favorites. As a bonus, the original Polaris studio album is included in this package on a second disc.
