The McGuire Sisters were stars of radio and television and were the most popular sister group of the 1950 s. The title of this album owes its origin to a recording session. It all took place in Studio A when the McGuire sisters got ready to record some of their favourite numbers. All the songs were standards, and each one woke an immediate response from the girls, each number recalled another place and another time. "Do you remember when we first heard Sometimes I'm Happy?" asked Phyllis, the youngest of the trio. "Of course," replied Christine. "It was when we were in high school in Middletown."
