THE MUSIC - SINGLES & EPs: 2001-2005 This 2CD release brings together The Music's Hut/Virgin Recordings, singles and EP's and their respective B-sides for the first time. Their first Hut release was the acclaimed EP 'You Might as Well Try To Fuck Me'. This was followed in 2002 by 'The People EP' - the first song to be taken from their eponymously-titled debut album, which was released later in the same year, reaching no.4 on the Album Chart. Following the album's release, the band's first single was re-issued, reaching no.14. Two more singles - Getaway and The Truth is No Words - followed, reaching no.26 and no.18 respectively. The band's second album, 'Welcome To The North', which was released through Virgin Records, spawned the no.15 single 'Freedom Fighters' and no.20 single 'Breakin'.
