Originally presented by Andy Crane until 1990 and originally only shown during school holidays and Sunday mornings during the winter months on CBBC . It was then followed by CBBC presenters Andi Peters , Philippa Forrester , Toby Anstis and Zoe Ball by 1992, the show was on every week on a Sunday throughout the year. The show got a makeover in 1995 and Jayne Middlemiss and Jamie Theakston presented the show for the rest of its run. There was also a spin-off series, The Pop Zone shown in 1998.
In October 2000, The show was replaced by Top of the Pops|Top of the Pops Plus which had already been on UK Play . That programme was axed in 2001.
