The Talkies are a brand new rock/pop band originated by Bjoern Eilen, producer and guitarist of Silver Maiden. Musical roots of The Talkies are the late 60's and the 70's, their spirit of protest, the ideal of freedom and love which is lost somehow nowadays. Music is more than a job or a possibility to earn a lot of money. It says more about feelings, love or the truth about you and me than words can. Even rock music is a unique language and a form of protest. It’s a shame when you turn on the TV you see and hear things mankind really doesn’t need. I always try to imagine what people in 500 or maybe a 1000 years would think about our current society as a whole. I certainly hope we are not the last people on earth. We need not act as if we were the all knowing great generation. We are not. Life goes on. Well, I know that our songs don’t make this world any better, but I hope you take the time to listen and let them inspire you to share some love with those who really need it.

13.11.2006: The Talkies 's Army decided to work on a official website for the band to create a base from where you get all the information you need about Bjoern Eilen and his "Talkies". We plan to offer you a basic version of the site till the end of 2006, you will get all the news here, so stay tuned !

The Talkies Army is a team of music lovers to support Bjoern and his music, and to organize his web performance. Bjoern Eilen works very hard, 12-16 hours every day to realize this plan, and he gets great support from The Talkies Army, music lovers that help Bjoern getting the success he deserves.
