The Orange Beach Fuzz You
Fourteen songs in 38 minutes, so there are about 160 seconds to Title. The time which usually musicians from my own musical tastes took to warm up before you think they strat to play. Talking about food culture, it's exactly the opposite: the meal disappears in a few seconds. Not so for the Orange Beach are Italians and they know what it means to the culture of food. So I assume they aren't serving us "junk food", but in the brevity of their sounds, they're cooking us an appropriate "food for the ears."
Just take a look at the band's website to understand why the pieces are so short. Regarding the band's style, it is described as "Rock, post punk and psychedelic." It's clear that since the Punk should be always under the sewing machine, little time remains for longer pieces. Well .. that's enough with the cliches .. Finally, we find the Post Punk, Rock .... And the Psychedelic. Incidentally I had the album for someone who knows only part of my musical tastes had well thought that I might be of interest.
Formed in 2005 as "Jam Band", the band had not yet a well-defined style. According to the boys they seemed the Stray Cats under the influence of LSD. Certainly they are still in search of a label, a situation they have in common with many other bands as they make excellent music, but with regard to production, with Kramer (Shockabilly) have done a really good shot. In Barbon, we listen to the "Shimmy"-Kramer also playing the vibraphone.
In their songs, mostly instrumental, the guitar can clearly cut the air blowing on parts psychedelic rock style Jam parts. In Fairies Wear White Shoes the bass dominates. The Orange Beach alternate loudest screamy sounds to mellower tones. The band not only handles with extreme security the psychedelic Jam, but in "Ernest's Fear" they also show to be great rockers . Exotic Thrills, characterized by progressive sounds, finds the magical fusion of guitar and bass.
The three musicians rarely move individually: guitar solos are always and only intertwined with the bass and drums. This trio is virtually inseparable.
As often happens, unfortunately there's only one thing that can hinder their music: the fact of not having a label. The band is still searching, maybe even to be able to perform live in a sort of Tour Of course the boys are ready to play live, and certainly on fire and leave the stage sweaty and fans enthralled. If the album is worth quoting: "Warning: Listening to this album can give addiction," what would happen then if they play live? *
