Thin Lizzy's debut album from 1971 has now been digitally remastered and expanded with 9 Bonus Tracks including 4 songs which were overdubbed and remixed in 1977 In November 1970, Decca records A&R manager Frank Rodgers was visiting Dublin to scout local musical talent and was persuaded by Brian Tuite to attend a Thin Lizzy concert at the Peacock Theatre in Dublin. Immediately impressed by the ability of the band and the charisma of Lynott, Frank Rodgers offered Thin Lizzy a three year worldwide contract with Decca records as soon as the band came off stage. For their first British recording sessions Decca appointed producer and songwriter Scott English to supervise the proceedings. In five days ten songs were recorded, all of which had been tried and tested by the band on stage in their homeland and the majority of which had been written by Lynott. Like much of their recorded work for Decca, many of the songs recorded featured direct references to rural Ireland, Dublin and Lynott's childhood. Pieces such as "The Friendly Ranger at Clontarf Castle" and "Clifton Grange Hotel" were musical stories of Clontarf (a small town near Dublin where Lynott and Bell shared a house in the early days of the band) and of the Clifton Grange Hotel, an inn managed by Lynott's mother. The material recorded also displayed a striking contrast of light and shade. Eric Bell's "Ray-Gun" was a Hendrix inspired funky rock number, as was Lynott's early rocker "Look What the Wind Blew In" and the Lynott / Downey composed "Return of the Farmer's Son". Conversely, "Honesty is No Excuse", "Eire" and "Saga of the Ageing Orphan" were softer numbers of aching beauty and melancholy revealing Lynott's great ability as a sensitive songwriter. Despite a lack of major commercial success, Thin Lizzy's debut found enthusiastic supporters in both John Peel on BBC Radio One and David Jensen, at that time a DJ on Radio Caroline. Included are overdubbed and remixed 1977 versions of four of the songs.

This album proved to be Thin Lizzy's commercial breakthrough in the U.S. with the massive singles "Jailbreak" and "The Boys Are Back in Town" (the latter being Thin Lizzy's biggest ever hit). One of the classic rock albums of all time, this deluxe version contains a BBC session from the time as well as previously unreleased tracks.

Bad Reputation is the eighth studio album by the Irish band Thin Lizzy. Released in 1977, it featured "Dancing in the Moonlight (It's Caught Me in Its Spotlight)" which was a UK hit, reaching #14 in the singles chart in September 1977 Teaming up with the legendary producer Tony Visconti, Thin Lizzy managed to pull of a nifty trick of sounding leaner and tougher than they did on previous releases, creating an album that rivals Jailbreak as their best studio album. This expanded single disc has been remastered and now comes with 4 previously unreleased bonus tracks taken from a session recorded for the BBC.

"Live and Dangerous" was released in 1978 and is arguably one of the great live albums of all time - the cover an iconic and instantly recognisable image of Phil Lynott. It was recorded in London and Toronto in 1977, during the tours accompanying the albums "Johnny the Fox" and "Bad Reputation". "Live and Dangerous" was originally intended to be a studio album. The band had worked with producer Tony Visconti on their previous album Bad Reputation, and the group wanted to work with him again. But since Visconti had a very tight schedule Phil Lynott came up with the idea that they spend two weeks together compiling a live album instead. The album is packed with Thin Lizzy's timeless greatest moments and remains one of the most influential and revered albums of all time.

A DVD was released (included in this package) which contains all the recorded video from the "Live and Dangerous" concert, including: (in order) "Rosalie", "The Boys Are Back In Town", "Emerald", "Dancing In The Moonlight", "Massacre", "Still In Love With You", "Don't Believe A Word", "Are You Ready", "Sha-La-La", "Baby Drives Me Crazy", and "Me And The Boys" (not included on the album). It also includes various other Thin Lizzy performances, including a recorded show from their farewell tour.
