Rooms have gotten silent once Toni begins to sing. brWhen listening to Toni singing, people are first struck by her passionate singing of lyrics. Whether the songs are her own, or traditional hymns, she feels the lyrics and express what she feels with her voice. Toni is also innovative with her guitar playing. Not satisfied with merely strumming chords, she finger picks and moves up and down the fret board. Her inspirational melodies come from a strong faith in God. She reminds people of Amy Grant, and Jose Feliciano, with her guitar playing and she gets a folk influence from Janis Ian. " 'At Seventeen' really spoke to me when I first heard it." She also has a clear and passionate approach to singing found in the music of word smiths, Barbra Streisand and Frank Sinatra.
brbrToni's music ministry began in 2004, when she, her husband, and son went to local nursing homes and provided church services for those who couldn't get out to church. These days, she plays for church's, coffee houses, clubs, senior centers, and community events. 2007 started with a February performance at Black History Event for White County. She quickly followed this up with gigs in GA, TN, VA, MD, NJ, & PA. brbrThe future for this dynamic performer, is the release of her third CD. She will also be playing more and intends to participate in local open mics more often. She is leaving a line of work that has provided for her for the past three years and is certain that now that a door is closing, God will open a window.
Artist Mission
When God calls one of His Children to serve Him, then all else in their life changes. This music teacher, wife and mother, soon felt an unquestionable pull into Christian Music. Since that faithful day in 2003, she has brought her message of God's love for his children.
