Trezay gave birth to the new genre Chip Hop. Chip Hop is a mixture of the Calypso and Hip Hop genres to create a crossover blend that is sure to reach the international market.
In 2004 Poundas were rewarded the Lifetime Achievement Award at the Hip Hop Festival. He has opened for the likes of Fat Joe and the Terror Squad. The group was also a Lifetime Achievement Award for his contribution to Hip Hop in the Caribbean. He was also awarded a Pioneer award by the Barbados Music Awards.
