TrumpThighT is Omaha, NE (The O.N.E.)'s hottest rap group," says Koodadd, founder/Co-TrumpThighT members Carl "Koodadd" Griffin and Paul "Fatt Paul" Gaskin formed T.I. Dink in 1996. Prior to that, the two (along with third member, Anthony "Amp-Dawgg" Alcorn) had hopes of signing a deal with a major record label and gaining nationwide success. Shortly after Amp-Dawgg's untimely incarceration on a manslaughter conviction, reality set in. Omaha, NE was simply not a major market for rap music. With virtually no radio station and limited performance opportunities, gaining exposure was an uphill battle. "We started T.I. Dink so we could show the major labels that we not only had the talent, but that we could also make money," says Fatt Paul. "We named the first album Phase 1 (the debut TrumpThighT release, Phase I - Earn Yo' Keep) because it was just the first step in what we were trying to do in this game."
