Q. To set the tone for the readers, how would you describe your sound?
Psychedelic Progressive Rock – Grateful Dead meets Pink Floyd!
Q. So you are about to release a new album, tell us everything about it starting with the name of the album.
Shadow Of The Sun is a collection of songs from the past & present and is the 5th release for the band. Some really nice melodic pieces that are very Floyd like in their style along with Dead influenced country tunes and an all out psychedelic jam at the end.
Q. Who else was involved in helping you bring this album to fruition?
Richard Schneider on lead guitar and Rich Dadufalza on drums are no longer with the band, but greatly added to the sound and texture of this album. It was all produced in our home studio and mastered with DiscMakers.
Q. What would you say some of the challenges you encountered in doing this album were?
The biggest challenges were for Steve to go through and edit the tracks, picking and choosing the best parts to use, and for some just cleaning up the mistakes that were being made by that individual.
Q. Can you give us some insight into where, what or who motivated you to do the album?
The motivation is always the music. To present albums with collections of songs like this is one of our main goals in the band. The theme is always the universe, space, U.F.O.’s and so the songs can be limitless and about anything we choose. For the most part there is always a mystical message about peace or love or getting along with your fellow man involved and sometimes it’s just a story to be told.
Q. What would you say is the best single and why do you think it is?
“Down the Drain” has got to be the best song for me as it most represents what we are trying to do as a band. It invokes a Floyd like dreamy quality that haunts you with its eerie melodies.
Q. Are you planning to produce videos for any of the songs on this album?
Probably not since we now have new members in the band. We will be concentrating on going into the studio and producing a new album along with possible videos for that one.
Q. Are you planning to tour to promote this album? If so, when and where will you be performing?
Currently we are promoting the album at the shows we play around the Seattle area and the Pacific Northwest.
Q. So how do you see this album propelling your career in the music industry?
So far this album has received critical acclaim from several online review sites and magazines pushing us up the ladder of success.

Q. One last question for you: What other great things or projects can we look forward to hearing about from you in the future?
For the past year we have been doing shows and getting up to speed with our new lead guitarist. Recently we welcomed a new drummer into the line up as well. Sounding hotter and tighter than ever before, we are excited to get back into the studio in the fall of ’07 to start the production of our next album. With several songs in the works and several that have never been recorded you can look forward to an exciting collection of diverse material that it the trademark of a uVu album.
