Malcom Singleton

Artist Biography


I became interested in music at an early age. I began playing drums at the age of 10. When I was 13 I ventured over to the guitar. In the seventh grade I joined my first band as the drummer. I eventually began performing solo, playing acoustic guitar and singing original songs as well as covers of my favorite musical artists. I have a passion for performing in front of live audiences and I perform regularly at music venues across Alabama as well as playing for private functions. I have performed at one of the Muscle Shoals area's most prominent venues, The Songwriters' Showcase. One of my original songs, "Counting On You", was chosen as the 2004 winner of the rock category for the annual Songfest Songwriting Competition held during W.C. Handy Week in the Shoals area. Artist Mission I am presently working on my degree in Entertainment Industry Management at the University of North Alabama where I am a senior. I also teach drum lessons and spend my free time writing and recording. Upon graduation I plan to pursue a career in the music industry. I am currently working on recording an 8 song EP of original material in which I am singing all lead and background vocals as well as playing all the instruments which includes, lead guitar, rhythm guitar, bass, drums and piano.
